"Desperate Housewives" actress Eva Longoria visits The CW dramedy "Jane the Virgin" Season 3. Star Jaime Camil confirmed it via Instagram. He captioned it with "Guess who is checking into the Marbella Hotel this Season? #JaneTheVirgin."
According to TV Line, the leading lady Gina Rodriquez of "Jane the Virgin" Season 3 reveals via Snapchat that Longoria is on set to direct episode 3. The photo of a script cover showed that the episode #303 is named "Chapter Forty-Seven." Carolina Rivera and Micah Schraft wrote the script.
Longoria also confirmed the news on her Twitter account. She tweeted "Ohhhhh can't wait! Jane The Virgin get ready!" She has no plans to appear in a guest role for "Jane the Virgin" Season 3, as Entertainment Weekly reported. But anything can happen.
Longoria previously directed an episode of "Devious Maids." She made a special guest appearance in this season four premiere. This dramedy series is about five Latina maids working in the homes of wealthiest and powerful families in Beverly Hills. Longoria also directed the episode 6 "The Hurricane" of "Telenovela." The sitcom series showed the daily life of a fictional telenovela star who does not speak Spanish.
Not only Longoria is excited but also Camil who will play as Rogelio De La Vega, who is the telenovela star and father of Jane. He is the latest addition to the "Jane the Virgin" Season 3 family. Other cast members are Brett Dier, Yael Grobglas, Justin Baldoni, Ivonne Coll, and Andrea Navedo.
"Jane the Virgin" Season 3 is set to return to The CW on Oct. 17, Monday, at 9 p.m. ET for its new season premiere.
