According to Variety, Lawrence ranked in the annual ranking with $46 million from June 1, 2015 to June 1, 2016. She had the total down $6 million from last year. She earned this impressive income because of her advance fee for her role in the forthcoming space adventure "Passengers" and the final Hunger Games installment "Mockingjay - Part 2," which gross $653.4 million worldwide. Being the youngest actress on the list, she came in second place in 2014.
"The Boss" star Melissa McCarthy earned number 2 on the list with $33 million, as Forbes reported. She increased her total of $10 million from last year, making her this year's biggest dollar gainer year over year. She reportedly earned big for the female "Ghostbusters" reboot. Scarlett Johansson ranked number 3 with $25 million because her income went down nearly 30% in 2015. She landed a $17.5 million deal in the upcoming adaptation of the Japanese magna "Ghost in the Shell."
Jennifer Aniston earned number 4 with $21 million, making her a particular standout in the world's 10 highest-paid actresses listing. Her earnings came from her advertisements for Emirates airlines, Smartwater, Aveeno and Living Proof. Chinese actress Fan Bingbing makes the cut for the second consecutive year, achieving number 5 with $17 million. Charlize Theron rejoined the list for the first time in three years. She earned number 6 with $16.5 million. Then, Amy Adams ranked number 7 with $13.5 million. Julia Roberts earned number 8 with $12 million. Mila Kunis ranked number 9 with $11 million. Bollywood star Deepika Padukone is the only newcomer in the issue, making her earn number 10 with $10 million.
