"Dark Souls 3: Ashes of Ariandel" DLC teaser has finally been released by FromSoftware which hints a connection to the first game in the series. The upcoming DLC is suggested to send players back to the Painted World of Ariamis, an optional area in the original game, "Dark Souls."
The highly anticipated "Dark Souls 3" DLC is suggested to honor the roots of "Dark Souls" as the plot is expected to head back to the original game. Reports claimed that "Dark Souls 3: Ashes of Ariandel" DLC teaser seemed to have a number of allusions to the first "Dark Souls'" Painted World of Ariamis. Apart from being a snowy environment similar to the Painted World, Ariandel is expected to have an enemy similar to the Crow Demon, IGN reported.
Additionally, a concept art for an NPC character called Painter is reportedly suspected to be introduced as an enemy that is reminiscent of the Crow Demon. "Dark Souls 3: Ashes of Ariandel" DLC teaser also gave hints at how players must defeat the evil within and uncover a terrible mystery behind why the city was turned into ruins.
Bandai Namco revealed that exciting lores will be added through the "Dark Souls 3 Ashes of Ariandel" DLC to expand the overarching "Dark Souls 3" storyline. The upcoming DLC is said to task players to enter into a frozen land of Ariandel where they could probably take on some new bosses.
In addition, new weapons, armour sets and magic for players to discover and experiment with are expected to be added to the game through "Dark Souls 3 Ashes of Ariandel" DLC. Along with these, new features for the game's competitive multiplayer mode will also be integrated, PC Gamer reported.
