Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is not yet in the market but Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is now on sale. Does it mean that the newest tablet will be released sooner than expected?
Currently, Microsoft store sells the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 at a low cost for just $749 from $899. The tablet was slashed of $150 which was built with Intel m3 processor, has a 4 GB RAM and storage of 128 GB. The sale Surface Pro 4is up to September 6 only and the Touch covers are not inclusive with the deal. It is not the first time that the tablet went on sale because earlier in August, there was a price cut of $150 and in the last week of the same month another suchlike sale came up in the method of an eBay seller, iTech Post reported.
Several sources say that new Surface devices will emerge this year including Microsoft Surface Pro 5. It is possible that Surface Pro 5 will be announced sooner or later in October. All the same, the new tablet will be launched next year. Reports say that the reason for October announcement, if true, is to give Apple's MacBook Pro 2016 a headstrong competition which is also rumored to get unveiled in the same month.
Microsoft postponed the launch of Surface Pro 5 due to Windows 10 Professional Redstone 2 OS and Intel's Kaby Lake processing chip. It is reputed that Kaby Lake chip could double the new Surface Pro 5 tablet's efficiency, according to Science World Report.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will run Window's Redstone 2 and will run on Kaby Lake processors either on AMD's or NVIDIA's graphic chip. Moreover, the new device will make use of the Surface Pen.
In addition to the upgrades, the next-generation tablet is predicted to launch preferentially late 2016 or early 2017. It could be the company is waiting for the launch of Intel Kaby Lake and Windows 10 Redstone 2 before the release of Microsoft Surface Pro 5. Microsoft also wants to perfect the new tablet before it goes to market.
