Bollywood actress Rakhi Sawant has criticized Indian censor board for giving an 'Adult' certificate to her upcoming movie "Ek Kahani Julie Ki."
Rakhi Sawant's "Ek Kahani Julie Ki" has recently cleared by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with an 'A' (Adult) certificate. The 37-year-old controversy queen and reality show star expressed her surprise at the film getting an 'A' certificate, and said that censor board should be shut down, Asia News International (ANI) reported.
Sawant even threatened board's chief Pahlaj Nihalani and asked him to resign from the chairperson's post. "I will get inside Pahlaj Nihalani's house and pull him down from his chairman's chair," Sawant said. "If he doesn't know anything he should resign and I will sit at his place, I think I can do the job better, at least I'll not be biased and categorize producers according to their banners."
Sawant also took on porn star turned Bollywood actress Sunny Leone and said that censor board issued an U/A certificate to Leone's "Ek Paheli Leela" movie which had lots of sex scenes.
"I have not come from abroad and I am not a porn star," she added, India Times reported. "They have issued an U/A certificate to a film like 'Ek Paheli Leela' in which a porn star has shown all kind of filth, nudity and obscene content and we have not even worn short dresses."
Rakhi Sawant, who is known for her controversial and bizarre statements, was recently in the news for wearing an 'vulgar' and 'sexy' dress which had Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's pictures printed all over.
