"Revolution" alum Billy Burke has booked a guest starring gig on Chicago PD Season 4. In other news, NBC has released the official plot details abound on the fall premiere.
According to TV Line, Burke has been tapped to play a retired baseball player on "Chicago PD" Season 4. Burke's character will get involved in a murder investigation set to unfold in episode 6 titled "Skin in the Game." The actor's recent TV credits include "Rizzoli & Isles" and "Major Crimes."
Burke joins previously cast Li Jun Li (Quantico) as Burgess' new partner.
In other developments, NBC has released the official plot details of the premiere of "Chicago PD" Season 4. According to the press release shared by The Futon Critic, here's what will go down in the first hour: "Intelligence investigates a gruesome case. Upon further examination, it appears the victim was wearing a CPD-issued wire at the time of his death. Meanwhile, Burgess meets her new partner, Julie Tay, who came from one of the worst assignments in the city. Together they respond to their first call, and Tay shares details of her past. Additionally, Commander Crowley confronts Lindsay about why she and Voight were at that location on the night that Intelligence pursued Justin's killer."
Titled "The Silos," the season opener will feature the guest appearances of Li Jun Li as Julie Tay and Barbara Eve as Commander Crowley.
"Chicago PD" also stars Jon Seda, Jesse Lee Soffer, Patrick John Flueger, Elias Koteas, Sophia Bush and Amy Morton. Season 4 premieres on Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 10PM on NBC.
