Rising stars BLACKPINK are reported to make a comeback in October with not just one, but two or more new tracks. A source affiliated with YG Entertainment confirmed the girl group has filmed the MV of their upcoming release.
"BLACKPINK has already filmed the music video for a new, unreleased song, and will be filming another music video for a new track during the Chuseok holiday period," the source said as quoted by Soompi.
The source also noted that YG Entertainment and BLACKPINK are planning to launch both MVs in October. "For their comeback, there will be a minimum of two new tracks, or there could be more," the source added.
Despite making their debut just this Aug. 8, BLACKPINK has been receiving good feedbacks from Kpop fanatics. Their singles "Whistle" and "BOOMBAYAH" were also well-received by the audience as both tracks topped not only on SBS "Inkigayo," but also in several music charts.
Recently, BLACKPINK was listed by Rolling Stone as number one in their "10 New Artists You Need to Know: September 2016." The magazine even described the girl group's music as "a perfect marriage of K-pop and A-town trap."
Aside from that, Rolling Stone also narrated how BLACKPINK members underwent intense training before debuting. "I couldn't believe it; it was such a long awaited debut that it was hard to tell if it was all a dream or not," Jisoo said, adding that she is looking forward to achieve bigger goals in the future.
The members also revealed a couple of names that influence them in their music. These artists include "Side to Side" singers Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj. "I feel like we are well-prepared for any music style and dancing. We have a strong color as a group, which we will reveal through our music," Jennie added.
