The Villain Kids are back and are ready to cast out their villainous acts with new looks and a new outfit. Descendants 2 will debut in 2017 on Disney Channel and has begun filming.
In accordance with Disney Channel's official synopsis, "The story deepens in the music-driven sequel to the global smash hit Descendants, as the teenage sons and daughters of Disney's most infamous villains-Mal, Evie, Carlos and Jay (also known as Villain Kids or VKs)-try to find their place in idyllic Auradon."
Mal could no longer bear the demands of being royally flawless and returned to her despicable origin on the Isle of the Lost. Ursula's daughter, Uma took Mal's (Maleficent's daughter) place as self-declared queen of the desolate town. Aggrieved Uma prompts her pirate peer including Harry (Captain Hook's son) and Gil (Gaston's son). The gang will destroy the barrier that keeps the Isle of the Lost from Auradon and frees all the villains behind bars on the Isle finally and completely, all because Ben didn't choose her to go to Auradon, according to E! News.
The last time the Descendants kids were seen, they were euphoric about their determination to be good instead of following their evil parent's ways. However, a last-minute vision of darkness becomes visible in Mal's eyes leaving fans in wonder if there is something more to her account.
TV Line reported that as of now, Descendants 2 has little information about its storyline but Disney Channel revealed that numerous new inclusions will be incorporated. Uma, Ursula's daughter will be played by China Anne McClain while Harry, Captain Hook's son will be played by Thomas Doherty. Another character is Gil, Gaston's son, will be played by Dylan Playfair.
Other villain kids are Ben (Beast and Belle's son) played by Mitchell Hope, Carlos (Cruella de Vil's son) played by Cameron Boyce, Jay (Jafar's son) played by Booboo Stewart, and Evie (Evil Queen's daughter) played by Sofia Carson.
Kenny Ortega directs Descendants 2 with producers Tracey Jeffrey and Judy Taylor. Josann McGibbon and Sara Parriott penned the script with Disney Channel and Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures as distributors.
