Former child actor in the 1980's Corey Feldman regretted his bizzarre performance on Sept. 16's "Today Show" after it went viral. He even said that he couldn't even get out of bed because of criticism.
Feldman said that people's respond from his performance on "Today Show" really hurt him. According to People Magazine, the 45-year-old former child actor sobbed in his Facebook Live Event, and said that he did the performance out of love for his fans, so he didn't expect to receive such harsh criticisms.
"It was a song, OK? It wasn't that weird," he said. "I'm sorry if that's not good enough for you, but you don't have to beat us up. ... Why is it OK to publicly shame us?"
After his performance, many people took to social media to criticize him as they feel the performance is weird. The performance became a trending topic in Facebook as viewers questioned his appearance and the performance itself. Most of the comments regarding the performance are negative, which says how odd and weird Feldman's appearance was.
Feldman made appearance on Sept.16 edition of "Today Show," as he promoted his new album "Angelic 2 the Core," Rolling Stone reported. The album is dedicated to his two friends, Michael Jackson and Corey Hart. In the performance, he sang the single "Go 4 It" wearing a matador custom besieged by a band of women in angel costumes.
The song, an electronic dance music, is the main single in the album. During the performance, Feldman went crazy with his dance move. His friend, rapper Doc Ice also made a surprise appearance in the middle of his performance.The member of 1980's hip-hop group rapped the part which was originally done by Snoop Dogg in the music video.
Feldman was a well-known child actor in the 1980's. His memorable performance in "Stand By Me" (1986) as a member of a group of teenage kid who ran away from home made him a star. But as time changes, so does the people's taste in music.
