More details on the upcoming "Justice League" movie are surfacing, with each of them bearing exciting news on what to look for. Sept. 18 was given the privilege of being "Batman Day" and what more to honor the occasion than to reveal the cast for Commissioner Gordon.
"Justice League" director Zack Snyder unveiled the news through a photo of Oscar-winning actor J.K. Simmons as Gotham City Police Commissioner James Gordon, according to IGN. The photo, which was tweeted by Snyder, showed Commissioner Gordon standing close to the Bat Signal on top of the Gotham City Police Department roof.
Comic Book also went more into detail on the scene. In the set of "Justice League," it showed Simmons in the Commissioner's typical long coat and hat get-up, expecting Batman (Ben Affleck) with the Bat Signal. Not only Batman shows up, but also the rest of the League came into the scene.
Along with the Caped Crusader, Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) and The Flash (Ezra Miller) also joins in the discussion with the Commissioner. Shortly busting in scene is Cyborg (Ray Fisher), the candidate that Wonder Woman planned on recruiting.
The group deliberates on the situation at hand, from the kidnapped scientists from Star Labs to discovering the nest of the Parademons. Some points of the conversation may hint to Aquaman's (Jason Mamoa) appearance especially in accordance to where the nest is located. The team also mentions Batman's Night Crawler, a vehicle that can travel on terrain inaccessible for the Batmobile.
There were also comedic moments from the Flash as well, which contrasts to the typical dark and gritty mood of DC movies.
While J.K. Simmons won't play a significant role in the "Justice League" film, he will reprise his role as Commissioner James Gordon to ally with Ben Affleck as Batman in a solo film planned for 2018.
In the meantime, "Justice League" will be premiering around November 2017.
