"Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 will hit TV screens soon, if the rumors are precise. The next installment has been reportedly already in the works and might follow the manga version.
After its previous season concluded more than a year ago, fans of the manga series' adaptation is set to air on TV Tokyo again. According to reports, production of "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 has commenced, as it is being said that Studio Pierrot has enough materials to start the series.
The second manga, titled "Tokyo Ghoul:re," is now at a hundred chapters which could be enough for the studio to produce a whole season.
Speculations also arise that "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 will be longer than the previous seasons. As it can be recalled, "Tokyo Ghoul" manga had one hundred forty three chapters. The first season covered almost sixty chapters of the manga, while the rest were adapted on the Season 2. The first manga series was compressed in twelve chapters on "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 1 and 2, Movie News Guide reported.
Season 2 ended where the original manga begins. With that, fans are clamoring for a storyline close to the manga.
If the producer will grant this fans' request, it is anticipated that the manga will determine the plot of the anime when aired on TV. Rumors claim that a 2017 release is possible, iTech Post reported.
While "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 is still uncertain, fans my look forward to a live-action movie adaptation of the manga. It has been announced in June that the movie will be released in summer next year.
The said movie will be directed by Kentarō Hagiwara, while its cast has been confirmed to include Masataka Kubota to play Ken Kaneki and Fumika Shimizu as Touka Kirishima, In addition, Yu Aoi, Nobuyuki Suzuki and Yo Oizumi will play as Rize Kamishiro, Kotaro Amon and Kureo Mado, respectively.
