Ever want to play as a feudal lord in Japan? Koei Tecmo has just announced the latest game in the making - "Nobunaga's Ambition: Sphere of Influence - Ascension" - and mentioned about the game's plot and gameplay.
DualShockers reported that the game will take in the Sengoku Era of Japan. There, players can take the role of an army officer in the Japanese army. They will have a chance to experience the Japanese history that tore the country asunder, from the clans being established and alliances formed to the rise of the first Shogunate. Players will also have a chance to develop armies and fortresses, as well as strategize to defeat their enemies
The game will also allow players to rise in rank from being an officer. They can even rise to a warlord like Oda Nobunaga or even be an overlord of the entire Japanese nation.
With the historical accurateness of the game, players can take control of the numerous characters of the period taking part in the war, whether they would be officers or lords. A number of these characters also have unique events and special missions.
The game will also particularly focus on the famous samurai Yukimura Sanada, who, at the age of 16, participated in the Sengoku war. Although deemed the strongest warrior in Japan at the time, Yukimura eventually faced defeat in the Siege of Osaka.
Other prominent historical figures featured in the game are feudal lords Ieyasu Tokugawa, Mitsunari Ishida, Masamune Date and other individuals like Nyosui Kuroda and Morichika Chosokabe.
Based on an earlier report by Gematsu, Koei Tecmo also announced some pre-order bonuses for both North America and Europe.
For the North American pre-orders, if bought in Amazon, Best Buy, EB Canada and GameStop, players can get 30 CG portraits of legendary and fan-favorite characters from the "Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIII" game. If the European player pre-ordered on Independent Retailers through Centresoft, they get the same thing as well.
If players from both regions pre-ordered on PlayStation Store, players will get the officer data of Sanada Clan's Oyamada Shigemasa, and the wife of Shigemasa, Lady Muramatsu.
"Nobunaga's Ambition: Sphere of Influence - Ascension" will be released for the PlayStation 4 and PC on Oct. 25 in North America and Oct. 28 in Europe.
