"Bond" actor Pierce Brosnan, 62, is teaming up with "Goldeneye" director after 20-years for a film which will feature martial artiste and Hong Kong actor Jackie Chan.

Brosnan was pictured on set recently cutting a very different figure from his previous action roles, but still managed to remain sharp while sporting graying hair and a white beard while filming in London for the film based on the novel "The Chinaman" by Stephen Leather.

The "Mamma Mia " star wore glasses and a bright purple tie to finish off his character's look, the Daily Mail reported.

The title of Brosnan's latest venture which is still to be revealed will see him starring opposite Chan and according to reports it is to be a thriller, directed by Martin Campbell, the same director who was behind the famous 1994 "Bond" film where Brosnan made his debut as the infamous MI6 agent.

Chan is to play the role of a restaurant owner in London's Chinatown for the film. Chan's character embarks on a lone mission to track down a gang of Irish terrorists who are responsible for the death of his daughter. According to reports Brosnan is set to play former IRA member and government official Liam Hennessy.

Recently Brosnan feeling a bit nostalgic about working together with Campbell posted a throwback photo on his Instagram page. Brosnan captioned the picture as being taken after he wrapped up filming "Goldeneye."

The photo shows the star posing with his then girlfriend who later went on to become his wife, Keely Shaye Smith.

Meanwhile, Brosnan paid a moving tribute to his long-term friend and producer Beau St. Clair, 63, who passed away after a battle with ovarian cancer.

The "Escape" actor had known Beau for more than 30 years, and according to reports by Hello Magazine, was with her just a few hours before she died in Malibu at her home.

The duo during their working years produced 10 films including "The Thomas Crown Affair," "The Matador," "The November Man" and "Evelyn." More recently the two worked on a thriller called "IT." In a moving statement, obtained by the publication Brosnan referred to Beau as the sister he never had.
