South Korean superstar Rain proved his loyalty to his country after revealing in an interview for the 2016 Busan One Asia Festival that he thinks about representing Korea every time he carries out performances on stage.
According to the 34-year-old singer-songwriter, actor, and music producer, he always bears in his mind that he is representing the Korean nation wherever he goes. That is also the reason why he is working so hard in his job of entertaining people.
“When I held an Asia tour in 2004, I thought ‘would this work well?'” I felt a lot of burden because I was performing in the Tokyo Dome as a male solo artist for the first time. Although it took some trial and error, it was successful. I also won an MTV Asia Grand Slam for the first time. It was one of my best memories,” said Rain as quoted by Soompi.
He added: “I believe this group holds an achievement of introducing K-pop. Their strong points are that they’re all very pretty, and they’re all good at acting, singing, and dancing. I expect that this group will have infinite possibilities in the future.”
Recently, Rain was hailed as the Global Star for 2016 by the Busan One Asia Festival. Meanwhile, the “Full House” actor was announced to star in the upcoming Chinese drama “Endless August”. Joining him in the show is Victoria of the girl group f(x), All KPop reports.
Born as Jung Ji Hoon, Rain started his entertainment career after joining the boy group Fanclub. He rose to fame for his portrayal in the KBS drama “Sang Doo! Let's Go To School” wherein he earned the Most Popular TV Actor award at the Baeksang Arts Awards in 2004.
