When they are not performing stunts as part of their roles as kick-ass heroines, Asian actresses Constance Wu, Michelle Yeoh, and Ming-Na Wen stick to workout strategies that work.

For American television's breakout star Wu, who earned raves for her portrayal of a strong-willed mother of three in the comedy series "Fresh Off The Boat" the workout essentials boil down to practicing yoga and throwing in ab workout moves.

In an interview with Women's Health, the 33-year-old Taiwanese-American actress said her workout bag simply contains a trusty pair of sneakers, all-natural sparkling water, rubber headbands, sunscreen, dry shampoo, and headphones.

Portraying go-getting mom Jessica Huang, hailed by Vanity Fair as "one of the best new TV characters of 2015," understandably requires stamina and focus.

Wu pulled it off and did not have to exaggerate being a tough mom who makes sure her kids preserve their Asian heritage while assimilating western culture. Yeoh and Wen are two other Asian celebrities who embody the fit and fearless female.

Yeoh, who reprises her role in the hit supernatural martial arts film "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon," has been dancing since she was four years old. The "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny" star has also sweated it out in the gym way before she starred in the Bond flick, "Tomorrow Never Dies."

Yeoh today personifies the benefits of fitness to an international actress like her. In an interview years back with Los Angeles Times, the Malaysian action star who still gets compliments in social media for looking fit and gorgeous shared that she engaged in rock climbing, swimming, and squash to stay trim.

Even when aboard a plane, Yeoh recounted how she would do sit-ups, or push-ups while waiting for meetings to start and there are no people around.

On the other hand, Macau-American actress Wen is known to do Pilates, squats, lunges, and martial arts training. The "Mulan" and "Joy Luck Club" actress, at 52, still looks fabulous.

The "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." actress is walking testament that being fit is fun. She exudes sexiness whether she is portraying Agent Melinda May in Marvel's "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." and attending red carpet events, or chilling out.
