The second season of the hit anime "Attack on Titan" is set to air in February 2018. "Attack on Titan" Season 2 will be about shocking revelations, heartbreaking deaths of fan favorite characters, and one central character stepping up his game.
According to Design Trend, "Attack on Titan" Season 2 will follow the storyline in the manga and will take place after the Titans penetration of Wall Rose, the secondary wall. The storyline also includes the kingdom's corrupt king and the grand scheme to overthrow him. This rebellion will be led by Captain Erwin Smith.
The new season will also unveil the identity of the colossal Titan who was responsible in the breach during the first season, which resulted to the deaths of many, including that of Eren Jaeger. The identity of the armored titan will also be revealed in "Attack on Titan" Season 2, alongside the fact that their identities are close to Eren.
Another explosive part of "Attack on Titan" Season 2 is the revelation of Ymir and Krista Lenz's true identities, and the latter's connection with the Reiss Family. It shall be learned that the king is just a dummy and that the entire country is being governed by the Reiss family for generations.
Of course, there will be a lot of deaths in "Attack on Titan" Season 2, but these are not just generic deaths. Trademark characters will die this season and the biggest will be that of Levi Ackerman. Levi is "Attack on Titan" Season 1's strongest fighter, a sort of the MVP among the Survey Corps. Captain Erwin Smith will also leave the Survey Corps after losing an arm in a battle against the formidable titans.
But the Morning Ledger reported that Erwin will be injured at the same time as Armin. Unfortunately, only one of them could be saved with the serum. The remaining Survey Corps members will have to decide as to who they will choose to revive.
Eren then pleaded that Armin is the one to be saved. Levi, on the other hand, deemed that Erwin should be the one who gets to live as he has what it takes to help save humanity. After tears and heated discussions, Levi had no choice but to give in and save Armin with Erwin meeting his demise for good.
Armin being saved meant that he has now a bigger responsibility to the team and has big shoes to fill since it was Erwin who had to go to give him a second chance at life. So fans can expect Armin to step up his game in "Attack on Titan" Season 2.
