After going through a tumultuous phase in his love life, "Tamasha" star Ranbir Kapoor has parted ways from his lover Katrina Kaif after a relationship of six years. The couple was trying to sort out their differences since a long time.
Although the two were said to be undergoing through trouble in their relationship, the actor's close proximity to his ex-girlfriend Deepika Padukone during the filming of "Tamasha" proved to be the last straw.
This was, however, followed by a photo of the duo kissing each other went viral. However it was widely speculated that it was a mere publicity stunt to shut down the break-up rumors.
Ranbir has now moved out of the Carter Road house where he was famously living with the "Phantom" star and is back with his celeb parents, Rishi and Neetu Kapoor, who in turn said to be happy with the development since they were known to be against Kaif. Neetu has bunked the annual Christmas lunch where her son made an appearance with his girlfriend, Pinkvilla reported.
The tiff in the relationship was first brought to light when Kaif sounded insecure and seemingly jealous about the increasing closeness between Ranbir and his recent co-star during the promotion of their recent hit.
"I can't enforce my will on the people in my life. Their choices are their own," the 32-year-old British Indian actress told GQ Magazine on being quizzed what she thought of her boyfriend spending so much time with his ex-girlfriend.
Another fan theory stated that superstar Salman Khan has a big role in the split since Kaif called it quits after having a two-hour long chat with the superstar on the sets of "Sultan" recently. The reports also stated that she has even called off the shooting of Anurag Basu's "Jagga Jasoos" which also stars Ranbir.
Reports are also emerging that Ranbir's non-committal way of life was not going down well with Kaif since he reportedly used to develop cold feet whenever the subject of wedding propped up.
Kaif is currently in Delhi to promote her upcoming film "Fitoor" starring Abhishek Roy Kapoor.
