It's always been a delight for gamers when they see old-school games being brought back to life through mods, patches, and even remakes. Such is the case with Night Dive Studios in being specialists in remastering classic PC games for more modern devices. Right now, the game studio is bringing another classic from the 90's, "Turok 2: Seeds of Evil."
According to the game's Steam page, the "demand for Turok 2" was recognized by Night Dive Studios and is well on the way for its eventual release. The remastered game also hinted a multiplayer mode as well.
Night Dive actually mentioned that the 1998 game has begun development right "after the launch of ['Turok: Dinosaur Hunter']." The studio's post in Steam continues, "'Turok 2' is a bigger game, more enemies, more weapons, more locations, and most importantly ... 'Turok 2' had multiplayer."
The game studio promises to deliver the "authentic experience" of the classic games while players can get to play it in their modern PC engines. "We've decided to give Turok 2 the love it deserves and release the game when it's done," said Night Dive.
Kotaku was able to do a breakdown of what the first "Turok" remastered game had that could also possibly happen in the sequel:
The studio actually mentioned "Turok 2" remaster will feature "enhanced graphics and other improvements."
So far, there hasn't been any exact release date for "Turok 2: Seeds of Evil" yet. The first remastered game in the series, "Turok: Dinosaur Hunter" was released back then on Dec. 17, 2015 and is still available now on Steam.
