Irrfan Khan's popularity seems to be on a constant rise in Hollywood as Mindy Kaling is the latest star to praise the actor by saying that he is her "favorite actor."
The "The Mindy Project" star took to Twitter to declare that the "Slumdog Millionaire" star is her most-loved actor.
You are my favorite actor in the world. Everyone follow the great @irrfan_k. https://t.co/487yTX1UzK

The 49-year-old Indian actor was quick to acknowledge Kaling's words of encouragement by sending the Hollywod star a tweet.
@mindykaling thanks so much.... Those words from you, mean a lot. You should come to India soon ... Die hard fans waiting for u :-) — irrfan (@irrfan_k) January 11, 2016
Kaling is not the only Hollywood personality who seems to be smitten by the Indian actor these days. Earlier Tom Hanks also gushed about his "Inferno" co-star by claiming at Sony's press event in Cancun, Mexico that he is just "beguiled" by the Indian actor's "magic eyes" and that his physicality is specific and endearing, NDTV Movies reported. Although he was yet to shoot his scenes with Khan at the time of the press event, he still was all full of praises for the Indian star.
Apart from his upcoming movie "Inferno," Khan will soon be seen in Anup Singh's "The Song of Scorpions," starring hauntingly beautiful and talented Iranian actress, Golshifteh Farahani. The shooting of the movie is currently undergoing in Thar desert, Rajasthan, India.
"The Song of Scorpions" will show Khan essaying the role of a rugged camel dealer who is married to Farahani, who is a a scorpion singer. She has a unique power to draw out poison from the blood stream of one stung by a deadly variety of the insect found in the desert. The couple's relationship soon turns sour after which Farahani's character decides to tread a path of revenge and retribution.
Since Farahani is playing the role of a folk singer, music is expected to be an integral part of the movie. The movie will also star veteran Indian actress Waheeda Rehman with whom Khan is admittedly excited to work with. Seemingly humbled by the opportunity, the internationally acclaimed star told Indian Express that working with the cine icon is "like a flash back merging into the present."
