"Rise of the Tomb Raider" was one of the most anticipated sequels to date. However, like most games if not all, the game has not been spared from being riddled with bugs. Thankfully, a patch was just released to fix the issue of input latency, albeit being only for the PS4 though.

According to Eurogamer, details about the patch were covered by Digital Foundry. Being labeled as patch 1.04, Developer Nixxes was able to acknowledge the growing concerns of the players and eliminate the problem completely - well, at least for the PlayStation 4 version that's in line with the PC and Xbox 360 versions of the game (both consoles haven't experienced the problem, actually).

The gameplay for the PS4 from the patch was greatly improved as it fixes the combat by improving the accuracy of the game's weapons. Now, players can pull off headshots more easily than they had with the previous version.

However, as with most patches in most games, sometimes one problem fixed leads to another. Some players did complain that the patch introduced a new problem of crashing with a message that pops out: "error code CE-34878-0." Although, the problem isn't something worry much about since it is somewhat tied to the network. The simple solution to this is to disable the network connection and the problem will actually solve itself.

In addition to the input latency improvement, the patch also brings "improvements to 4K image quality and frame-rate for PS4 Pro," as well as various bug fixes. This may mean that "Rise of the Tomb Raider" may be ready for the new consoles such as PS4 Pro.

Developer Nixxes Software was in charge of developing the PS4 and PC editions of "Rise of the Tomb Raider," while Crytal Dynamics, on the other hand, was responsible for the Xbox One and Xbox 360 versions.

While the patch fixes the PS4 version, it is supposed to play as well as the Xbox 360 and PC versions. The Xbox One edition, however, still has some lag issues to be addressed.

In other news, WCCFTECH reviews the game's "20 Year Celebration" edition in an earlier article. The expansion includes a new story, VR support, and a zombie defense survival type of gameplay.
