"Castle" star Stana Katic and "Friday Night Lights" actor Kyle Chandler are rumored to join "Deadpool 2." The highly-anticipated American superhero sequel will hit the theaters again.
Katic is rumored to play as Domino in "Deadpool 2." She will be the new love interest of the titular character Wade Wilson/Deadpool ("Criminal" actor Ryan Reynolds). She made a short feature of the character on the crime comedy series "Castle" resulting to some speculations about her appearance.
Katic can pull off the required stunts that are needed for Domino in "Deadpool 2" when it comes to the action sequences since she already has a background on it. Her character is one of the members of X-Men in the comics who excels in shooting and other hand-to-hand skills.
Moreover, Chandler was also rumored to be playing the mutant Cable in "Deadpool 2" together with the rest of the squad. He has been reported to play as the strong partnership with Domino with telekinetic and time travel ability. He is an expert in everything that has to do with the wires, including hacking skills.
Things in "Deadpool 2" will also get interesting both professionally and personally between Domino and Cable if both characters are confirmed to join. However, there is no official announcement yet about Katic and Chandler's appearance in the sequel. There are also rumors that Wolverine will also be making an appearance.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Reynolds dropped a hint to Deadpool fans about the possible release date of "Deadpool 2." On his Instagram and Facebook accounts, he shared some fan art of an artificial poster with a 2018 release date written at the bottom in really small letters.
The original movie "Deadpool" was a critical and commercial hit when it was released just before Valentine's Day. It became one of the highest-grossing R-rated films ever. It has earned a whopping $363 million in the U.S. and an additional $418 million overseas, Just Jared reported.
"Deadpool 2" is expected to premiere on Jan. 12, 2018. Producer Simon Kinberg said that the release date is a perfect timing since the Fox hoped to start shooting at the beginning of 2017.
