South Korean actor and musician Kwak Dong Yeon has recently opened up about his thoughts on the last scene of his character Kim Byung Yeon in the hit TV drama series “Moonlight Drawn by Clouds” in an interview with The Star.
Kwak admitted that he was saddened by the fact that death was the only way for his character to protect the characters of Park Bo Gum and Kim Yoo Jung whom he described as “the hope of my life and the love of my hope”. He also revealed that he had shed a tear while filming his death scene.
"The director insisted that I don't cry too much. So I cried a lot before filming and held back the tears when filming started. It was the scene of me dying and also a turning point to Lee Young (Park Bo Gum), so we filmed it for hours,” said the actor as quoted by All KPop.
He added: “Park Bo Gum and I held each other's hand and cried. We were okay in the beginning, but when I collapsed after getting a sword through my body, we told each other to stop crying, but couldn't help the tears."
Meanwhile, Kwak, along with his “Moonlight Drawn by Clouds” is set to appear on the variety show “Happy Together”. This was revealed by a reliable source on October 25.
According to the source as quoted by Soompi, “Actors Jinyoung, Kwak Dong Yeon, Han Soo Yeon, Lee Joon Hyuk, and Ahn Se Ha will be participating in the recording on October 29. The episode will be broadcast in November”.
