"Supernatural" actors Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles want series creator Eric Kripke to come back and write the final episode of the series.
Asked in an interview, both actors revealed that they are looking to forward for the series to come in full circle with Kripke, who was responsible for creating the "Supernatural" mythos. They went to say that it would be the best way to end the series just in case, TV Line reported.
"When the show does start to wrap down, I would love to see Eric come back and give his opinion. Because he created us in the first place, so it would be an honor," Padalecki said then Ackles added, "It would be a nice little bow on top of the whole thing [to] have Eric take us out."
Kripke left "Supernatural" on Season 5 after he and the studio had a difference in opinion. He said that he originally envisioned the show to run for 5 seasons, but CW picked up the series that is now on its 12th season. Since then, Kripke was replaced by fellow producer Sera Gamble as the showrunner, Screen Rant reported.
For Kripke's part, he said that he had fantasized of coming back for the show. He went to say that the "idea would be cool, if possible" after saying that should co-write the finale if the show's executive producer Bob Singer and co-showrunner Andrew Dabb agree to have him back on the fold, he would gladly do so.
"Supernatural" Season 12 airs every Thursdays on CW.
