While the upcoming seventh season of HBO's mega hit "Game of Thrones" does not have the will-Jon-Snow-die big secret as season six, fans are still in high anticipation with the release of new reports pertaining to some big battle scenes current being shot. The battle will involve both Jon Snow, now King in the North, and Daenerys aka, the Dragon Queen.
According to Screen Rush, the "Game of Thrones" production are currently in Spain shooting the anticipated battle scenes. The report said that Spain's Los Barruecos National Monument could serve as the site of a major battle for Daenerys. However, recent reports say that the fighting scenes will be shot at the waterside Las Breñas.
Watchers on the Wall, the "Game of Thrones" dedicated website, also reported that a shoot in Trujillo Castle has increased its size, reaching up to a hundred of extras. The filming was expected to run for three days but the purpose of the shoot was not disclosed. The website speculated that Trujillo Castle could possibly stand for Essos.
Meanwhile, a list of directors for the season seven episodes were already revealed, which includes Alan Taylor ("Thor: The Dark World" and "Terminator Genisys"), Mark Mylod ("No One") and Matt Shakman ("Fargo"). Jim Broadbent (Harry Potter) has already been confirmed to play a significant role in the upcoming season. However, rumors about Angela Lansbury being part of the new season were already debunked, which have disappointed many fans.
