Preview
Denver is looking to bounce back from a two-game losing slide after beating the New Orleans Pelicans in their season-opener last month.
Head coach Mike Malone's squad is being led by a surprise player so far this season with Will Barton averaging 18.0 points and 5.0 rebounds as the team's top scorer. Veteran forward Danilo Gallinari and Jusuf Nurkic are backing him up as both produces 16.0 points per game.
Their most recent game was a 105-102 defeat in the hands of the Toronto Raptors at the Air Canada Centre on Monday, as per Fansided.
Barton, Gallinari, and Emmanuel Mudiay fired 16 points apiece while Nurkic and Nikola Jokic scored 13 and 12 points as all five starters scored in double figures for the Nuggets.
Off the bench, backup point guard Jameer Nelson contributed 13 points and two rebounds in a losing effort.
Coach Malone was disappointed about the team's first half performance but was satisfied in their second half energy, saying that "when you play against a team that was in the Eastern Conference Finals last year, you can't do that".
The Nuggets are not good on the road, losing five of their last eight away games dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, the Wolves will try to stay undefeated at home this season. They play their second straight home game after starting the season on a two-game losing slide on the road.
Minnesota crushed the Memphis Grizzlies, 116-80, on Tuesday at the Target Center, avenging themselves from their season-opening loss to the same squad on Oct. 26, CBS Local Minnesota reported.
All five starters of head coach Tom Thibodeau also scored in double figures but Zach LaVine was a cut above everyone else with 31 points, four boards, and two assists.
Andrew Wiggins and Gorgui Dieng both netted 17 points while Karl-Anthony Towns and Kris Dunn scored 11 and 10 points respectively.
Regular starting point guard Ricky Rubio is out indefinitely with a sprained elbow, which opens the door for the rookie Dunn to establish himself at the position.
The Wolves are 3-3 in their last six home games.
Prediction
Denver is a poor road team and Minnesota is beginning to find momentum especially playing at home. Another lopsided win for the Wolves is predicted.
