Preview
Oklahoma City will look to earn their fifth straight win this season as Russell Westbrook faces for the first time his old pal Kevin Durant, who is now suited up for the Warriors.
The Thunder remained undefeated after four games this season as they nipped the Los Angeles Clippers, 85-83, in their Wednesday night game at the Staples Center, as per Daily Mail Online.
Westbrook once again led his team with 35 points, six rebounds, five assists, and three steals in the hard-fought match that went down the wire to decide.
No other Thunder player scored more than eight points, except for shooting guard Victor Oladipo who had nine markers and five boards.
Westbrook hit the game-winning jumper with less than 19 seconds left in the fourth quarter to save his team anew in his first season as the number one player of his squad.
"That's the only way I know how to get it," said Westbrook after the match. "Nothing was ever given to me growing up, and I always had to find ways to get it."
"I play every game like it's my last. I play every game the same, always, like I've been saying for years. Regardless of who we play, I'm going to play the same way," he added.
Meanwhile, the Warriors are on a three-game winning streak after the embarrassing loss to the San Antonio Spurs in opening night.
Their last game was a huge 127-104 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers on the road at the Moda Center on Tuesday, the SF Gate reported.
Reigning MVP Stephen Curry was the star of stars during the match as he scored 23 of his team-high 28 points in the third quarter to completely turn the tables on the Blazers. He shot 5-for-10 from three-point range and also had four rebounds and three assists.
Durant had 20 points, five boards, two assists, four steals, and one shot block as support while Klay Thompson fired 14 points in another miserable night from the field.
Prediction
This one is hard to predict as the momentum is clearly on Westbrook and the Thunder's side, but the Warriors are playing at home where they get maximum support from their hometown crowd. However, Westbrook will be playing with a little more anger against Durant's Warriors and so OKC is the slight favorite to win this game.
