Preview

Despite Anthony Davis' monstrous numbers to begin the new season, the Pelicans has not tasted a win yet after six games this season and are getting desperate to get one.

Davis and head coach Alvin Gentry have expressed their frustrations about the team's current rut. However, the truth is they need more support for their franchise big man as beyond him no one else is playing well at the moment.

In their last game, New Orleans dropped another sorry overtime loss for the second straight match with a 112-111 defeat to the Phoenix Suns at their home court of Smoothie King Center last Friday, as per the Times-Picayune.

Davis was not as dominant compared to their other games with 22 points, 11 rebounds, two assists, and four blocks.

Three other starters scored in double figures, though, in a more balanced offensive attack, namely Terrence Jones, E'Twaun Moore, and Tim Frazier who had 19, 16, and 13 points respectively. Jones had an impressive all-around game as he also contributed seven boards, six assists, and four blocks.

New Orleans has lost five straight road games since last season and has dropped both away matches so far this season.

Meanwhile, the Warriors are coming off a humiliating 117-97 loss to the up-and-coming Los Angeles Lakers squad at the Staples Center last Friday for their second defeat this season, Yahoo Sports reported.

Stephen Curry had struggled all night, shooting 0-for-10 from beyond the arc to snap his NBA-record streak of 157 games with a three-pointer. He managed to score 13 points, though, with eight rebounds and 11 assists.

Klay Thompson also had a miserable night with 10 points and three boards, shooting 4-for-18 from the field including a 2-for-10 stint from the three-point arc.

Kevin Durant remained as the lone bright spot of the star-studded Golden State lineup with 27 points, five rebounds, three assists, and two steals.

The Warriors are hard to beat at home, winning 12 of their last 15 games at the Oracle Arena.

Prediction

A huge win for the Warriors as they redeem themselves from their previous embarrassment in the hands of the Lakers.
