LG has just begun its offer of Android 7.0 to the modular G5 smartphone owners in South Korea as announced on Tuesday. The effort claims the tech company to be the first to showcase Nougat out to the already current Marshmallow handset. LG's latest V20 smartphone was also the first device to release with the Nougat OS before Google Pixel was launched in most countries.
However, there is a catch because Koreans are the only ones who are fortunate to get the upgrade now. According to LG, customers in Asia, the US, and other countries need to wait for their turn in the coming weeks which is usually subject to approval by wireless carriers. Nevertheless, Nougat's roll out to LG G5 in Korea denoted that LG doesn't have any technical issues with the G5, The Verge reported.
"Most G5 users will receive notifications on their phones when the update is available. More information will become available locally in the weeks ahead," the South Korean company said in an emailed release.
The Nougat's roll out to LG G5 announcement made on Tuesday created excitement to the LG G5 users since access will now be possible to the same enhanced software installed on the LG V20.
According to Gadgets 360, LG declared in August that there will be an Android 7.0 Nougat Preview Program for LG G5 owners in South Korea. There were 2,000 applicants who were chosen by the firm to try the advanced built-in of the platform.
LG's Nougat update to G5 includes numerous features such as 'In Apps' feature that enable G5 handset owners to perform searches inside user-installed along with pre-installed apps. The Multi-Window feature permits users to pilot two apps side-by-side or transition between apps just by tapping twice.
LG's Nougat roll out to G5 will make a lot of the handset users very glad as they will be able to take advantage of the same software built in the LG V20. Koreans can now enjoy the upgrade while LG G5 owners from other countries can wait for a few weeks to experience the great benefits of the LG Nougat to their smartphones.
