Niantic Labs' augmented reality game "Pokemon Go" has been getting updates lately, whether as a way to enhance the game or fix it. In addition to the latest update that involves gyms, there are news about Ditto, a rare non-legendary Pokemon, that might be included in one of the latest updates in the mobile game
According to dataminers at The Silph Road, some code of "Pokemon Go" references say that the appearance of generation two Pokemon might be included in the latest updates. So far what we've been getting from the code are the Pokemon numbers 152 (the Pokemon Chikorita) to 251 (Celebi) in the Pokedex. With the latest version, there are a number of possibilities that inclusion of these new set of Pokemon would happen even if the release date hasn't been revealed yet.
In addition to what the dataminers revealed, a term has been unveiled in the game's data, which is "Transform." The term is likely to be an ability known only to be used by none other than the enimatic Pokemon Ditto from the generation one roster. Since the "Pokemon Go's" release in July, there hasn't been any news on capturing Ditto - or how to capture him. With the new info on the "Transform" ability, there may be a chance to capture the elusive Pokemon along with the second generation ones.
In other news, Polygon reports that "Pokemon Go" has received another update that pertained to capturing a gym after defeating its leader. While, on the plus side, players can automatically own a gym after winning against said leader, the down side is that prestige level of newly gained gym decreases greatly once defeated, which many players find inconvenient.
