Saitama's quest to prove he's one of the best continues as he successfully enters the quarterfinals of the superhero tournament. On the other hand, the battle against Monster Association continues with more heroes joining the fray.
Chapter 67 Recap: Saitama's Victory and Garou's Intentions
The latest chapter of "One Punch Man" continues the superhero tournament and Saitama made a brief appearance by defeating Sour Face. The real action takes place outside the tournament as Drive Knight, Child Emperor and Watchdog Man are all busy dealing with different villains.
Drive Knight is successful against the different monster villains and according to the latest chapter in Manga Stream, the hero proceeds to gather information from the surviving villains. Child Emperor was eventually successful against Eyesight but only through the help of Pig God. Watchdog Man is also successful in his fight against the Monster Association.
But even though Watch Dog man appears to be successful against Monster Association, another villain lurks in the crowd: Garou. The well-known villain is watching the hero and could be planning for a surprise attack.
Garou's Role in Season 2: Super Garou!
After the defeat of Lord Boros in season one, the next big villain is still unknown. But the report of Anime News Network on the series' renewal puts the spotlight on a brand new challenger for Saitama. He's the near opposite of Saitama which makes him the perfect villain for the second season.
Garou's role in the previous chapters of "One Punch Man" has been very significant not only because of his antics but also because of his true intentions. Instead of becoming a superhero, his intention is primarily to be the villain and challenge anyone in his way. The upcoming manga chapters will chronicle Garou challenging one of the well-known superheroes in the area.
But Garou's current power alone could not hold back Watchdog Man. In the upcoming chapters, he'll most likely summon an unknown power that will shock everybody. Saitama will definitely get his hands full after the tournament since he'll have to face another villain hell bent in fighting all superheroes to the death.
