"Doctor Strange" is making waves at the box office recently surpassing other films that are expected to make a big hit. Soon it will bid the Dormammu's dark world adieu and stay for a while in the Manga Dimension. Lately, Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine verified the inclusion of a one-shot "Doctor Strange" prequel in its next issue.
The one-shot "Doctor Strange" prequel manga is titled "Doctor Strange: Episode 0" and will get published in Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine's 52nd issue which will be released on Nov. 22. It suggests the original story that highlights Stephen Strange's different activities as a renowned but disdainful neurosurgeon before the movie, as reported by Crunchyroll.
Haruichi will illustrate "Doctor Strange" prequel manga. He was 21 when he bagged the second newcomer merit award of the 70th Chiba Tetsuya Award in 2014. He said, "The film itself has a 200 percent fun, but with the power of my manga, I want to exceed your expectation as much as possible. I will draw with all my love for Marvel. Look forward to it!"
The story of the "Doctor Strange" prequel manga emphasizes on the incident before Stephen Strange met an accident where his hands got badly hurt and when he was brains but a bigheaded surgeon. The story continues with him having misunderstandings with his co-workers and the way he treated his patients.
Furthermore, the "Doctor Strange" manga series will be released on Nov. 30 on DeNA's free Manga Box app, the Anime News Network revealed.
Meanwhile, "Doctor Strange" the movie hit North American theaters last Friday. The film will be released in Japan on Jan. 27, 2017.
Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine will include a one-shot prequel to the "Doctor Strange" manga for its 52nd issue and will be released this coming Nov. 22. The prequel manga has a title of "Doctor Strange: Episode 0" and will be illustrated by Haruichi.
