While we just got news that the European rating agency, PEGI, gave the rating for PS2's 2001 classic "Red Faction," the ESRB (Entertainment Software Ratings Board) rating agency this time has just finished rating the game for the PS4.
According to DualShockers, the game's company THQ Nordic has actually listed this rating, along with some of its old titles like coming to PlayStation 4 such as "Destroy All Humans!," "Red Faction 2," and "Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition."
While the games "Red Faction" and "Red Faction 2" have already gone through the European ratings board PEGI for PlayStation 4, they still haven't gotten an official release date.
It was actually mentioned in an earlier article that Germany has just recently lifted its ban on the game. Around more than 10 years ago, Federal Department for Media Harmful to Young Persons of Germany deemed the game to be very violent and "damaging" to the country's youth, even adding other games like "Fallout 3" into the index.
It was because of THQ Nordic's "tact and some skillful powers of persuasion," along with "numerous discussions" with the department that they were able convince them to lift the ban on "Red Faction."
"Red Faction" was originally released on PS2 in 2001 from Volition and THQ. Both the original and its sequel "Red Faction 2" were released as PS2 Classics for the PS3. Although there won't be a release date their rereleases in the meantime, a PS4 version would mean achievements, and better visuals in terms of the high definition quality.
