Preview

Houston has won three of their last four games to move up to the fifth spot of the current Western Conference team standings.

In their last game, the Rockets routed the Philadelphia 76ers, 115-88, at their home court of Toyota Center on Monday, as per Fox Sports.

James Harden scored 23 of his 33 points in the first quarter of the game to lead Houston past the young Sixers. He also had seven rebounds and nine assists in another impressive offensive display in head coach Mike D'Antoni's system.

"We came in, made shots and defensively really locked in and didn't give them any confidence early in the game," said Harden. "They've had a couple of games where they've lost down the stretch against some really good teams, especially at home. So it was important for us to go out there and take advantage of the opportunity."

Starters Trevor Ariza and Eric Gordon also scored in double figures with 17 and 16 points respectively, with the former also chipping in eight boards, three assists, three steals, and a block.

Meanwhile, the Thunder is on a downward spiral at the moment as the team is currently on a four-game losing slide after starting the season with a 6-1 record.

Their most recent match resulted in a 104-88 loss to the Detroit Pistons on the road at the Palace of Auburn Hills on Monday, Fansided reported.

Russell Westbrook was the lone bright spot for head coach Billy Donovan's team, scoring 33 points, grabbing 15 rebounds, and dishing off eight assists in another spectacular performance.

However, no one else among his teammates was able to significantly contribute as they were thrashed by the Pistons.

Jerami Grant and Enes Kanter were able to score 11 and 10 points respectively coming off the bench.

Prediction

The Rockets are 4-3 on the road this season while the Thunder has a similar 4-3 slate at home. Houston is on a roll while OKC is reeling, which means that Harden and his crew are favored to win this one.
