With announcements regarding the upcoming "Injustice 2," fans still haven't seen the rest of the character roster. Now, along with the latest "Mortal Kombat X" engine, we'll also be getting to know the new heroes (and villains) of the game.
Reports say that the updated "Mortal Kombat X" engine gives a more enhanced look for the "Injustice" sequel. According to the studio, fans would immediately recognize the changes made compared to the previous game.
With the "Injustice 2" being released, there were "never before seen" backgrounds and visuals, like new abilities, in the last game. Checking the announcement trailers, it looks like the characters have changed a lot as well.
NetherRealm already confirmed that we'll be getting 11 characters for both the heroes and the villains. The lineup includes Batman, Superman, The Flash, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Blue Beetle, Gorilla Grodd, Atrocitus, Harley Quinn, and Deadshot.
But, Nerdist also recently reported there will be even more playable characters in the game, including Booster Gold, Vixen, Lady Shiva, Black Alice, Matter-Eater Lad, Zoom, Grail, and Doctor Manhattan. Others include Swamp Thing, Starfire, Beast Boy, Red Hood, John Constantine, Black Canary, The Atom, Ra's al Ghul, and Captain Cold.
Other than that the NetherRealms also plans on bringing guest characters like its previous games, like "Injustice: Gods Among Us," and "Mortal Kombat X." Because of the success of "Mortal Kombat's" Scorpion in the first "Injustice" game, Game producer Ed Boon wouldn't rule out the possibility of adding a yet unnamed character for the sequel. Who it could be is still unknown, probably another "Mortal Kombat" character.
