2. Dr. Joan Watson in "Elementary"
Liu has been playing Dr. Joan Watson in "Elementary" on CBS opposite Jonny Lee Miller as Sherlock Holmes since 2012. They were nominated Favorite Duo by the TV Guide Awards in 2014 but lost to "Outlander" stars Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe, who recently told E! News that she and Heughan are not dating as rumors claimed.

Aired on Fox from 1997 to 2002, "Ally McBeal" starred Liu as Ling Woo, a cold and ferocious Mandarin-speaking Chinese-American lawyer who is also a sexual pleasure expert.
