On the "Kris TV" episode aired on Jan. 21, Thursday, Kristina Bernadette Cojuangco Aquino, 44, who is professionally known as Kris Aquino, revealed the former girlfriend of his brother, Philippine president Benigno Simeon Aquino III, 55.
Kris's brother was recently linked to a Filipino queen. However, according to the TV host and actress, the woman his brother previously dated was Filipino news anchor Bernadette Lorraine Sembrano Aguinaldo, 39, who is professionally known as Bernadette Sembrano.
Kris made the revelation in the "Kris TV" episode that featured "It Takes Gutz to be a Gutierrez" stars Miss World 1993 second runner-up Ruffa Gutierrez, 41, and her mother Anabelle Rama, 74, as guests. Also featured as co-host in the episode is Gelli de Belen, 42, who previously served as the Director of the Turkish commercial vehicles manufacturer Karsan in Turkey.
As Kris pointed out during the "Kris TV" episode, his brother's ex-girlfriend is now happily married but did not point out that the husband is Emilio Aguinaldo IV, a grandson of the First President of the Philippines, Emilio Aguinaldo.
As Bernadette wrote in Phil Star in 2011, she met her husband in 2007. At the time, she was interviewing him during the Independence Day of the Philippines. The two got married in 2008.
The Philippine president, on the other hand, is still single. The latest woman linked to him was Miss Universe 2015 Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach, 26, who will have her homecoming in the Philippines from Jan. 23-28, CNN Philippines reported.
Wurtzbach neither denied nor confirmed if she and the Philippine president really dated. Kris also previously mentioned that in a "Kris TV" episode that it is unlikely for Miss Universe 2015 to be romantically interested in her brother.
Like the Philippine president, Wurtzbach is also single. The Filipino beauty queen pointed out in her previous interviews that Miss Universe is not prohibiting her from entering a romantic relationship but she said it would be unfair for her boyfriend if she had one because she has a very hectic schedule.
Currently, Kris is also single. She has two sons from previous relationships with Filipino actor Phillip Salvador, 62, and Chinese-Filipino basketball star James Yap, 33.
In 1991, Kris starred in the Hong Kong film "Kai Xin Gui 5 Shang Cuo Shen" opposite Bak-Ming Wong and Roger Kwok. Recently, the Philippine presidential sister starred in the Metro Manila Film Festival entry "All You Need is Pag-ibig." Watch the trailer here:
