With "Justice League" heading close and Warner Bro.'s reboot of the "Green Lantern" still too far away, what's the closest thing to get the best of both worlds? Well, it looks like the thought-bending intergalactic police officer Green Lantern will reportedly make an appearance in the next DC film joining Batman and the rest of the heroes.
The Wrap has made an overview of the upcoming "Justice League" film by Zack Snyder, mentioning that a member of the Green Lantern Corps. will appear in a "key sequence" in the upcoming superhero ensemble film.
The character's identity does not seem to be revealed at the moment, but it could either mean that Hal Jordan could be returning to the DC film universe or even the other Green Lantern John Stewart. Other possibilities could mean that other members of the Green Lantern Corps. from across the universe could make an appearance as well.
The report also included numerous other details about the upcoming DC film. Some of these details include the villain Steppenwolf to be played by "Game of Thrones'" Ciaran Hinds (who played Mance Rayder in the series), according to IGN. The villain in the DC comics is one of the lieutenants of a greater villain named Darkseid. In the film, he travels to Earth to reclaim the three motherboxes under the jurisdiction of the Atlanteans, Amazonians and humanity. That's where the League will step in.
Other news involve J.K. Simmons taking the role of Commissioner Gordon and Joe Maganiello appear as a cameo in the film as Deathstroke - who will have more substantial role in the upcoming "Batman" film with Ben Affleck.
"Justice League" will premiere on Nov.17, 2017.
