According to the Twitter of CEO Randy Pitchford, a fan actually suggested that a "Gears of War" and "Duke Nukem" game should have a crossover.

"Gears of War" is actually not a stranger to cameos and crossovers, considering that it had one with "Gears of War 4" and hip hop duo EL-P and Killer Mike from Run the Jewels. While Pitchford wasn't really straightforward with his answer, it's safe to say that it's far from possible that another crossover would happen in "Gears of War 4," especially that "Duke Nukem" also belongs to Gearbox Software. Another possibility is that the announcement will be made at The Game Awards as well, taking place also on Dec. 1.

Another suspected crossover would involve Duke and another of Gearbox's hero shooter game, "Battleborn."

In earlier news, "Duke Nukem" 3D had just celebrated its 20th anniversary by releasing the latest version of the title with improved visuals and a new episode, designed by Allen Blum III and Richard "Levelord" Gray, while an all-new music score will be composed by Lee Jackson. Voice actor Jon St. John has even returned to reprise the role of Duke himself.

The visual updates included better framerate and lighting to name a few, but graphics still remained the same essentially. But, even players are given the option to switch "between the new renderer and old renderer" versions of the "Duke Nukem 3D's" visuals.

This goes to show that the "Duke Nukem" franchise hasn't died out yet, so it's highly possible that we'll be seeing another game soon.
