Brock Lesnar might not appear on any WWE programming anytime soon, after his loss to Goldberg at the "Survivor" series is likely will not be dealt with until the build up leading to the "Royal Rumble." This means that Lesnar's next appearance on the WWE will be in 2017.
In a report by Cageside Seats, Lesnar has only one remaining fight in 2016 and that will be the event to be held at a house show in Mexico City scheduled on Dec. 3. He will be pitted against former Bulgarian professional wrestler and powerlifter Rusev.
After this match up with Rusev, there is no other scheduled contest or appearance for Lesnar during the remaining days of 2016. It is suggested that his defeat during the "Survivor Series" might be in the "back burner" and will not be dealt with "until the Royal Rumble", Cageside Seats reported.
It has also been speculated that Brock Lesnar's hiatus is part of grand plan by WWE, cooking up a storyline for Lesnar's third meeting with Goldberg. By hyping this story plus Brock Lesnar's reported hiatus, WWE will be given enough time to groom and establish Goldberg's image. WWE is surely making the most out of Goldberg's surprise victory in their last pay-per-view event, making Goldberg "look like a returning veteran who has one last hurrah".
Goldberg participating in the Royal Rumble would be igniting new sparks to the feud he had with Lesnar in 2004. It can be recalled that in that same year, Goldberg got eliminated in the "Royal Rumble" match following a sneak attack by Lesnar. This led to the infamous first match between the two which took place during the "Wrestlemania 20."
