DeMarcus Cousins may possibly be traded this December. Some speculation hinted him to reunite with John Wall in Washington Wizards, his teammate in the Kentucky Wildcats.
They are the former teammate in the University of Kentucky in 2009-10. Together they led the Wildcats to dominate the NCAA. They brought their team to East Regional Final in the NCAA Tournament and Elite Eight of the 2010 NCAA Tournament..
During their tenure in the Wildcats, they were successfully brought the team to break many records. That includes clinching the 2,000 wins by defeating the Drexel Dragons in December, and record the most consecutive wins for first year’s head coach John Calipari with 19-0. They also booked the all-time most winning with 35-3.
Afterward Wall and Cousins entered the NBA. They were and drafted by different team in the different Conference. Wall was drafted by Washington Wizards, while Cousins joined Sacramento Kings.
Even though they have become professional player in the NBA, but their relationship remain close. Lately, with rumor about Cousins trade circulated, the idea of Wall-Cousins reunion appear as reported by NBA.com. Both Cousins and Wall are hoping for the reunion in the NBA may turn out to be true.
“We’re trying to figure it out now, and hopefully things work out in the best manner and figure something out” Wall said.
According to Bleacher Report, Wall will be an unrestricted free agent in 2019 while Cousins in 2018. That means they will not be able to join forces anytime soon.
However, Cousins is often rumored to be traded from Sacramento Kings because he never gets along well with coaches. Lately rumor about his trade reappear and it may be possible for Cousins and Wall to reunite in the NBA level.
