South Korean singer-songwriter Baek Ah Yeon has recently opened up in the December 1 airing of SBS Power FM's “Choi Hwa Jung's Power Time” that she was advised by JYP Entertainment head J.Y. Park to change her diet.
During the program, Baek shared to 2PM's Taecyeon, who temporarily took over the show, her unusual eating habit. Furthermore, she was also warned by fellow guest Kim Jung Min that her kind of diet is not good for her bones.
"I eat what I really want to eat once a week. The other 6 days, I only eat lunch, and I don't eat breakfast or dinner. I can't wake up for breakfast anyway…I kept doing it because I could still live, but later on, it was difficult," said Baek as quoted by All Kpop.
"My weight hasn't yoyo-ed. I return to my weight after fasting one day. I don't like to exercise, and when I do exercise, I can't do anything for the rest of the day," the 23-year old singer added.
On the advice that J.Y. Park told her, the Kpop idol stated: “He said to stop losing weight. He says it's really not good for my health."
Meanwhile, JYP Entertainment has recently announced the Christmas collaboration project between Baek and JB of the boy group GOT7 on its Instagram account. According to the label, the title of the song will be “Just Because”, All Kpop reports.
Before her official debut in the entertainment industry, Baek first appeared on the South Korean television show “K-pop Star”, competing against Park Ji Min and Lee Hi in 2011. A year later, she signed a contract with talent management agency JYP Entertainment and released her first album “I'm Baek” which contains the single “Sad Song".
