With the next "Alien" franchise coming out, 20th Century Fox has released a new image for "Alien: Covenant", featuring a creature from the 1979 original film that fans are probably familiar with.

Be warned, though, this may contain possible SPOILERS for the upcoming film.

According to IGN, an image was posted in Twitter by the movie studio itself to celebrate director Ridley Scott's 79th birthday. The image showed the mysterious creature alongside the director himself. Creature, known to fans, is the mysterious Space Jockey, which first appeared in the original "Alien" movie directed by Scott released back in 1979.

The Space Jockey was an elusive creature before it was revealed on what it exactly was in the most recent movie in the series, "Prometheus." The creature belonged to the race of the Engineers, as Dr. Elizabeth Shaw (Noomi Rapace) termed it, which are large humanoids responsible for creating the human race and experimenting with the black goo that created the Xenomorphs.

Just a few months ago, "X-Men: Apocalypse" actor Michael Fassbender revealed somehow let the cat out of the bag a bit too soon during an interview with BBC 2 Radio that a new Alien species was to be revealed in "Alien: Covenant", based on earlier reports.

The new Alien species was reportedly called the "Neomorph," which was another result of the infamous black goo from "Prometheus" that infects any living thing into making it something more lethal. According to the reports, the creature may have been spawned differently from the conventional means of Xenomorph spawning from the previous movies.

The Neomorph has somewhat a similar appearance to the Proto-Xenomorph at the end of "Prometheus," but would be having a more slightly translucent appearance (which may be based on unused concepts of the "Alien" and "Prometheus" franchise).

"Alien: Covenant" opens in theaters on May 19, 2017
