The season 7 premiere of "Game of Thrones" is fast approaching, which has led to fans clamoring for news and updates for what is to happen next in the mega hit HBO epic saga. Likewise, George R.R. Martin's latest book "Winds of Winter", part of the "A Song of Ice and Fire" series is also being highly anticipated by fans.
Fans of both the novels and the HBO series have hoped before that the two medium could pace with one another, with each be released while the other one is in hiatus. But after HBO decided not to slow down production of its biggest series to date, fans will just have to wait for Martin to finish the book while enjoying the last seasons of "Game of Thrones".
According to Screen Rant, HBO has already begun the production of "Game of Thrones" last two seasons. But talks of a possible prequel has resurfaced as the end of "Game of Thrones" has become more apparent than ever.
During the production of "Game of Thrones" season 7, photos of the cast at the set have started popping up online, all shown wearing winter clothes. As the end of saga is already just near, many cast members of "Game of Thrones" have now fielded questions about where their characters will be headed in the final stretch of the series.
One of them is Alfie Allen who played the role of Theon Greyjoy. The "Game of Thrones" actor attended the Malta India Comic Con and he filled the audience there on what we can expect with the HBO drama when the new season premieres, Watches on the Wall reported.
"More of the same...but better! More dragons; more torture!"
The actor is definitely not new to torture as he has been iconically subjected to one of the most memorable torture scenes in television drama history. Allen's Theon Greyjoy has suffered tremendously from the previous seasons at the hands of the mad man Ramsey Bolton.
When pressed about his character's current meek and twitchy behavior during the last season and whether such will continue, he said "Skittish and full of fear...Basically, and then that can kind of, I guess, evolve into rage, which you might see...who knows?"
Allen has also warned fans about information about "Game of Thrones" being released online, saying that fans should not easily believe everything they have read. But that does not stop him from speculating as Theon will have a sort of reunion with the new King in the North, Jon Snow.
"I would say, [Theon] would feel horrible. He'd feel awful. And he'd see it as a chance to redeem himself."
"Game of Thrones" season 7 is still in production and is expected to premiere in summer of 2017.
