In a recent announcement, it was revealed that the newest project from "Metal Gear" creator Hideo Kojima will be running on the visually powerful Decima Engine.

The engine will be used for the open world game "Death Stranding" and is the same engine that is being used for "Horizon Zero Dawn," another game that is still in development. This has caught the attention of many developers as Guerilla Games is known to be one of the companies that have pushed console games in terms of the visual aspect. Many are also excited for Kojima's newest project with his reputation and creative genius.

Drew Thaler from Naughty Dog has stated that the partnership between the two companies will raise the bar since both are known to be creative power houses. Anthony Vaccaro from Naughty Dog also mentions that this should be a trend that continues going forward though it depends on the policy of video game companies. An artist from Blizzard, Helder Pinto has also stated that video game companies should probably share tech with one another and the partnership is very interesting. While very little has been show from 'Death Stranding', a recent Game Awards trailer for the game has gotten many excited about it.

While the first trailer has already shown "The Walking Dead" cast member Norman Reedus as the main protagonist, the newest trailer then reveals Mads Mikkelsen as the villain though many details are still left to the people's imagination. The trailer also shows Guillermo Del Toro, and looks to have a little bit of everything, from babies to undead soldiers. The trailer has also been noted to have the distinct cinematic style that Kojima has been known for and a few people have noticed that both trailers seem to be in sync with one another.

"Death Stranding" will be released on the PlayStation 4 though no details on a release date have been revealed. The game will support newer technology such as 4K resolution. Meanwhile, "Horizon Zero Dawn" looks to release in February 2017.
