Chicago is playing the second game of a back-to-back against the Pistons. Point guard Rajon Rondo is expected to be back for the Bulls after being suspended by the team during their game on Monday night against the Portland Trail Blazers for "conduct detrimental to the team".
The Bulls lost to the Blazers, 112-110, during the game, which was held at their home court of United Center, as per the Chicago Tribune.
Dwyane Wade led the head coach Fred Hoiberg's squad with 34 points on 11-for-23 shooting from the field. He also had four rebounds, four assists, one steal, and two blocks in a losing effort. Jimmy Butler backed him up with 26 points, seven boards, five assists, one steal, and two blocks.
Off the bench, Nikola Mirotic and Isaiah Canaan contributed 18 and 10 points respectively with the Spanish power forward also hauling down seven boards and swatting away two shots.
Chicago trailed 65-57 at the half before coming back with a 30-21 run in the third period. However, their comeback attempt fell short as the Blazers used an 11-0 run in the final quarter to pull off the win.
Meanwhile, the Pistons snapped a three-game winning run with a defeat to the Orlando Magic, 98-92, also at their home court of the Palace of Auburn Hills on Sunday night, the Detroit Free Press reported.
Marcus Morris top-scored for Detroit during the match with 21 points along with five rebounds, one assist, and two steals.
Reggie Jackson, who returned from injury, contributed 18 points on 7-for-12 field goal shooting. He also had four assists and one rebound.
Andre Drummond had a double-double of 10 points and 10 boards with three assists, three steals, and two blocks while Tobias Harris had 11 points and four rebounds.
Prediction
The Bulls are 6-6 on the road so far this season while the Pistons are 7-3 at home. Both teams are coming off losses, but Chicago is predicted to bounce back from their setback last night to score a close win in Detroit.
