The official trailer of Marvel's "Spider-Man: Homecoming" has been released by Sony Pictures on Thursday.
The full length trailer of "Spider-Man: Homecoming" sees Tom Holland's Peter Parker donning his new spidey suit costume, which has been upgraded with wings. The new addition to Spider-Man's usual blue and red suit is courtesy of his Avenger pal, Tony Stark aka Iron Man.
The wings, teased "as a minor upgrade" from Stark was released by Sony 24-hours before dropping the official trailer.
What's more, the trailer also offered Marvel fans a glimpse into the appearance of Robert Downey Jr. as the billionaire playboy, who was seen giving superhero advice to teenage Parker.
"Just don't do anything I would do," Stark said.
"And definitely don't do anything I wouldn't do. There's a little grey area in there and that's where you operate."
Other highlights from the trailer include a first look at Michael Keaton as the villain Vulture, Zendaya as Peter's high school friend/potential love interest, and Jason Batalon as Peter's best friend.
Helmed by "Cop Car" director Jon Watts, "Spider-Man: Homecoming" tells the story of a young Peter Parker/Spider-Man who begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging superhero. Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May, under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark. Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine - distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man - but when the Vulture emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened.
The script was written by Christopher D. Ford (Cop Car) and Erik Sommers (American Dad). Co-starring are Marisa Tomei, Bokeem Woodbine, Donald Glover, Hannibal Buress, Abraham Attah, Martin Starr, Tony Revolori, Michael Barbieri, and Angourie Rice.
"Spider-Man: Homecoming" hits theaters on July 7, 2017.
