Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone is preparing for her debut in Hollywood. The "Bajirao Mastani" actress is playing the role of the female lead in Vin Diesel's "xXx: The Return of Xander Cage."
Padukone is putting in all her hard work to fit into the role opposite Diesel. For which, Padukone is being trained for by fitness trainer Yasmin Karachiwala. On Jan. 24, Karachiwala posted a video of Padukone doing chin ups in a gym. One can see her well-toned body as she works to strengthen her shoulders and back muscles. Scroll down to watch the video.
Karachiwala is a well-known celebrity fitness trainer and an author of "Sculpt and Shape." Prior to "xXx: The Return of Xander Cage," Padukone has been trained by Karachiwala for Bollywood movie "Ram Leela." As noted by Zee News India, the trainer has also assisted Katrina Kaif for "Tees Maar Khan."
It is said that Padukone will play the role of Diesel's love interest who happens to be a huntress. Besides Diesel and Padukone, action stars Jet Li and Tony Jaa, "Orphan is the New Black" actress and model Ruby Rose, "The Vampire Diaries" actress Nina Dobrev and Hollywood's veteran actor Samuel L. Jackson will also appear in the movie.
Opening about her debut in Hollywood, Padukone revealed that she is a bit nervous; however, she is ready to flaunt her ethnicity. "I am very excited. But I want to confess that I am very nervous. Most importantly I feel proud to be a part of a film where I get to flaunt my ethnicity," Padukone said in her interview with PTI as quoted by The Indian Express. "The reason they are roping me is because of my background. I really hope that I do well in the movie and people go and watch it," she added.
Meanwhile, she is also looking to set a new benchmark for herself in the New Year. "I work to compete with myself and keep setting the benchmark for myself, to keep bettering. After a successful 2014, I hoped I can do better and then it happened in 2015. It is my constant desire to keep improving."

"xXx: The Return of Xander Cage" is a third sequel of 2002's "xXx" that featured Diesel as the detective and spy for National Security Agency. In 2005, Ice Cube starrer "State of the Union" was released but the movie was not very well received on the box office.
