"We are very pleased to share with you all the wonderful news about the birth of our son: Taimur Ali Khan Pataudi, on the 20th of December 2016," the couple said in the statement obtained by NDTV. "We would like to thank the media for the understanding and support they have given us over the last 9 months, and of course especially our fans and well wishers for their continued affection. Merry Christmas and a happy new year to you all."
Taimur is Saif and Bebo's first child together. The "Phantom" actor has two other children; a daughter named Sara and a son named Ibrahim from his previous marriage to actress Amrita Singh.
There were rumors claiming that the baby's sex had been determined and that the baby would be born in London and would be named "Saifeena," but Saif dismissed those reports by releasing an official statement. Kapoor, 36, and Saif, 46, hit it off while filming the 2008 film, "Tashan" and dated for four years before tying the knot in 2012.
