Arkane Studios, best known for developing the hit "Dishonored 2" has released information regarding one of their newest projects "Prey". The game will feature alien powers and weapons, having elements similar to that of "Dishonored 2."

According to recent information, weapons while useful will be rare and players will have numerous options to tackle the different threats in Talos I. Aliens that players will encounter will have unique abilities. Once defeated, players can then use their powers by altering their own genes. These powers can then be upgraded using a tool called the Neuromod.

Some of the powers that were detailed include Mindjack which will allow players to control other humans or even robots,  Leverage which will allow players to lift heavy objects easily, Mimic to help players shapeshift into small objects or inanimate objects to evade capture and even get to hard to reach places. However, the developer warns that players shouldn't get too many powers as it will attract creatures called Nightmares which will hunt and chase players throughout Talos I. As players use these powers, they will go into Psy Mode which makes the world slower and allows players to collect their thoughts to decide on their next move.

Weapon details were also given on some of the unique weapons found in the game. There are non-lethal weapons such as the Disruptor Stun Gun which helps immobilize human and machine targets. There's also the Gelifoam Lattice Organism Obstructor Cannon or GLOO Cannon which releases foam that can disable opponents.

Aside from these, there is the Recycler Charge which has grenades that can damage and generate material fragments for crafting. Prior to the release of this information, Arkane Studios had already released a lengthy video showcasing a bit of the combat and missions in "Prey".

The original "Prey" series was handled by Human Head Studios with the first game releasing in 2006. The second installment for the game was cancelled in 2014 and development was then given to Arkane Studios, making a total reboot. While no specific information on a release has been given, "Prey" is in development for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
