The new preview clip of "Supergirl" shows Mon-El holding a new job when the show comes back for the rest of Season 2.

Mon-El (played by Chris Wood) is a supporting character on the show. The clip shows Kara a.k.a Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) checking out an alien-friendly dive bar and discovers Mon-El working there as a bartender as his latest attempt to get a "human" career.

Earlier, Mon-El attempted to emulate Kara's day job at CatCo to no avail. For the uninitiated, Mon-El is Daxamite (from a planet called Daxam) with similar skill set to Superman except for his weakness which is lead instead of Superman's Kryptonite.

In contrast to Kara and Clark Kent however, his personality is not very heroic with his hedonistic tendencies. As of now, his background is yet to be unveiled but after the midseason finale, it is safe to say that a romantic relationship between him and Kara is imminent, Screen Rant reported.

That being said, Wood confirmed that Mon-El will be putting on a suit which presumably means that he will wear his superhero cape when he finds the motivation to do so. In an interview, the actor said that the "Supergirl" crew will be true to the comic book version of the character, Empire reported.

"At first he's resisting to [be a superhero], because he doesn't feel the same impulse to go save the world [the way Supergirl] does. So, his story's going to become one of how does he gain that need? Where does that come from? ... There's got to be a moment like the one in the pilot for Kara when she's, like, 'I have to do this.' He's going to have one of those moments at some point, where he is self-motivated to pursue this as a purpose," he explained.

"Supergirl" Season 2 will be back on January 23, 2017.
